well, in most cases, the linktree is maintained by the artist, and therefore potentially contains more up to date links than our snapshot of the artist's links.
to me, the idea of "the canonical place where the artist maintains their relevant links" seems like it might have some value

I had this issue before too, but it was fixed in an update
