Pretty great! Can't see a spike but I definitely upload much more with that script. I think it only shows front covers though - now I do the whole Discogs stash if it's there
yes. that's a badly merged recording mixing remix and originals with 80+ linked tracks. fml

I can split off the tracks with remix ETI to another recording, but 1) I can't verify for all 80+ tracks that the ETI (or lack thereof) is accurate (esp for VA comps) and 2) AcoustIDs will still be totally messed up

So what I've been thinking to do is split off the tracks that I can confirm that are original/remix to new recordings
and keep whatever I can't confirm in this recording, add a disamb+annot saying to not use it for anything new and just hope other people who own those releases to relink the track later
any other ideas or objections?

Ooh a jump[ from750 items/day to 1000+ sure aint bad!!
ROpdebee: I think making a catch-all 'use if unknown' recording can be a good idea. Not sure what wider thoughts are
ROpdebee
apparently there's a least one VA comp on Spotify where Spotify says it's the remix but it's actually the original
now i'm thoroughly confused. even the "official music video" on youtube is actually the remix

according to wikipedia the original version performed underwhelmingly, so they re-released it as the remix and made an official music video for the remix
anyways, I split some stuff off to new recordings, added disambiguations and annotations to all of them, and I'm subscribed to the bad and the two new good ones
I'll post on the forums as well, maybe someone else wants to help police these

Great work on the annotation!!

ROpdebee: also i'd got and disable *ALL* the acoustids on that one recording
since none are valid ()

good point, done. there were thousands of sources :(
