1. "Doujin -> VOCALOID music -> VOCALOID CHINA music" is a relatively niche sector, so definitely no separated guideline for that.

2. The way those pieces are released is not fitting well with the traditional Title-Artist-Album model, especially for compilation (not referring to the comps like "Best 50 Pops", but those albums in which most songs are new, but done by different artists without no affiliate relationship to the CD producer) and video releases (e.g. pieces posted to YouTube or bilibili).
The issue is mostly discussed at the aforementioned "How to handle doujin music" topic, which is a years-long discussion. But my cases are still not very well-covered in the post.

The cases here are yet different from Japanese VOCALOID titles which are mostly done by one single artist ("the producer").

I'm thinking about reaching out to active editors who are maintain VOCALOID titles for their opinions (since most of them seem not to check the forum and matrix often 😅). Is it OK/polite to just send E-Mail via MB to several of them (e.g. 7sDream )?

I am using a tool that makes calls to the musicbrainz API to get metadata. A lot of my calls seem to be failing often. Is there perhaps a status page I could check, to see if there are any expected issues? Thanks!

Hi [bitmap](https://matrix.to/#/@bitmap:chatbrainz.org), I’m using beets, which makes some calls for metadata of specific releases. Unfortunately I can only see from the stack traces some “connection reset by peer” errors. This may be anecdotal but if I wait for a while, more calls go through before they fail again. Could I be getting rate limited? AFAIK beets implement sensible call intervals.
