>>> I'm generally not in favor of combining a Bandcamp release unless they assign it a UPC and everything else is the same, as Bandcamp artists tend to include extra easter eggs and treat other streaming platforms as secondary. Such differences are not always visible without purchasing, so I lean against assuming they're the same.

I agree. If there is no identifier that specifically matches releases on different streaming services together they should not be combined

I'd generally split only if sure personally, but 🤷♂️

if the userscript doesn't say there is any extra tracks (i assume that can be determined automatically and reliably) then i'd be inclined to not split them tbh

I think it just detects number of files or something like that, because sometimes it reports extra hidden tracks for a release that includes tracker source files
Already existing entries for the artist (including that album, but it's a good example) have normalised the spelling. However, going by the bandcamp page and soundcloud, one could argue it was artist intent both with the symbols and all caps

Actually no, the soundcloud uses title case. Scratch that

though if it was me adding it new i'd just use the spelling as-is going off artist intent

"you should go fuck with the capitalisation of releases" is moreso for stuff where publishers or whatever make it all uppercase on album covers, i generally just assume that if it's on bandcamp and pretty clearly uploaded by the artist, they mean what they wrote
