Manually copying the IP address, switching to browser window, making a new tab, copying the IP address into the address bar (possibly prepending with http:// depending in browser), and *then* being able to do the testing... is a lot more cumbersome than 1) click link, 1b) (opt., dep. on browser/system) switch to browser/tab, 2) test.
It was.
Doesn't seem to work.
Is what I get in the popup.

ruaok: about baron, can we get someone to reinstall it on 14.04 ?
in actuality the way it is enforced, IIRC, you get 11 requests in 10 seconds.
if you get 503s you're likely going too fast.
jesus2099
the difference between 1/1s and 10/10s is that the latter is an average that allows for 10 simultaneous initial requests — it can make a big difference in user script responsivness…
but the 1/1s has the advantage that i should not modify my existing scripts. ;)
anyway, i’ll read you (if you write something), after lunch :)

ruaok: ok so, thanks for your word, all in all, it seems that kepstin’s approach of max 10 requests within 11 seconds is good. if i need a boost on 10 first requests in some script one day i could use that. thanks :)
They've been spamming with links to user profiles on Twitter for quite a while
But events are new
CJ_
Understood.
reosarevok
Last time they were doing it with edit notes, and we blocked people from being able to enter notes in other people's edits until they're no longer limited users
But this is just a pain
Fucking spammers
CJ_
What defines a limited user?
reosarevok
Less than a certain number of accepted edits and/or time as a user
CJ_
Understood.
This solr configuration makes my head hurt. So many non-standard things.
reosarevok
ruaok: any ideas to get rid of these spammers?
ruaok
other than being diligent to delete them, no. :(
reosarevok
I mean, deleting an event isn't as easy as a user
But mostly I can only find the ones they post to twitter
CJ_
Why not?
reosarevok
There might be more
CJ_: In general deleting data requires actual edits and leaves a history - users not so much
CJ_
Understood.
reosarevok
In this case, I need to remove the URL and then wait for our clean up code to remove the now-empty event
ruaok
maybe bring this up at the next meeting?
reosarevok
Done that, but gah.
Ok

How was it determined that Jetty used less memory than Tomcat? That is the reason it is used, correct?
Gentlecat
is there a ticket related to messaging between editors?
