is there an existing vocabulary/ontology for books?

I believe so, but I couldn't name it off the top of my head.

I guess most of frbr can be applied directly.

I was thinking of a similar structure to MB, which I guess at least partly mirrors the WEMI part of FRBR. Work, edition group, edition.

there's http://bibliontology.com/specification , but it doesn't seem to have a useful human readable version anywhere, so I cannot quickly check how useful that one is :)

I really don't know much about ontologies.
