        Hi everyone,
      • I'm currently working on my GSoC 2025 proposal for ListenBrainz iOS and wanted to check if there's an official proposal template or any preferred structure to follow. If there's a past example or document that outlines what should be included, Iā€™d really appreciate it!

how can i fix this i'm still getting this error!
      • monkey[m]
m.amanullah7: It looks like you are trying to run the database creation script, but it is meant to be run only once. The error you can see there is 'role listenbrainz_ts already exists', so the script already did what it had to do.
      • lucifer: Hello! Can we work together on pushing LB#2965 past the finish line?
      • If I resolve the merge conflicts can you review the PR? I'm also happy to help do some live testing on test.LB

I remember once trying to use a command line tool to add recordings and somehow it would corrupt my listenbrainz database everytime I would try it (good thing I had first tried to do it on a temporary account)

      • it was https://github.com/kellnerd/elbisaur, but I suppose this works well on other people

      • can you request your data?
      • I'd do that, find a way to upload them to a temporary account and then wipe and reupload your listens on the main
      • THOUGH I havent tried this
      • mamanullah7[m]
mamanullah7[m]: here i can see but when i try on my local its simply returning none everytime thats y i'm getting this
      • BlastboomStrice[: i'll try this once!
      • monkey[m]
This is a developper question, not a user one :)
      • BlastboomStrice[
mamanullah7[m]: yeah, its a good idea in general to keep backups before you use any tool that might change your database
      • monkey[m]
m.amanullah7: You cannot make this page work on your local development setup without significant effort.
      • Are you trying to do some development on the fresh releases page?
      • Errrr. the Music Neighborhood page I mean
      • If so, the simpler method would be to copy the data for that page from the production website, and temporarily hardcoding that data in the front-end or back-end, can explain more if that's what you're trying to do.
      • Also, probably better to ask on the https://matrix.to/#/#metabrainz:chatbrainz.org channel for development questions
      • BlastboomStrice[
also a good idea is to ask the developer of the tool you used
      • mamanullah7[m]
<monkey[m]> "m.amanullah7: I think that 404..." <- i wants to work on this suggestion! to make a better error page!
      • * monkey: i wants
      • monkey[m]
Then it seems convenient that the page returns an error, no?
      • mamanullah7[m]
monkey[m]: now i analysed on the server its rare its only get triggered when no artist on database else it handled correctly!
      • thanks for explanation

rustynova: I love seeing all the CB reviews :D
      • Are you reviewing from the LB website?
      • zer0bitz- joined the channel
      • rustynova[m]
Nope. Because we can't review without leaving a message. So using good ol' criticbrainz.
      • I already did something similar on MB where I would rate album tracks as I listened to them, so I can remember if I liked them or not when replaying and skip the 1 stars. LB's love/hate is just too inprecise for this type of stuff.
      • But here I'm mostly preparing for a radio filter for Alistral. Like something that halve the track score if it's under 3.
      • Although it would be great to have an option to sync CB and MB's scores... And inherit the average track score for releases. Even more for one track releases
