I'm here, but not working on MeB until tomorrow. if it can wait then I'll be able to give my full attention
      • lucifer
        sure not urgent
      • mayhem
lucifer: lets do a triage meeting around this tomorrow, shall we? I'm focused on accounting today.

bitmap: yvanzo : reosarevok : "MusicBrainz Telegram Alerts Handling" looks very nice. thank you for putting that together. and also sorry for being so rough about it back in dec. (rough month, sorry).
      • bitmap
no worries, I think this is something we needed!
      • mayhem
this of course ups the ante, I think the pythonbrainz team needs to make a similar thing.
      • is that doc publicly readable? if not, any reason to not make it public?
      • the one thing that still isn't covered well enough by any of projects is how to address problems when the US and the EU is asleep.
      • leaving all the obligations on our two team members based in other timezones isn't so great.
      • I guess this is where the "how to fix common problems" docs really help -- and if they don't, wake someone up.
      • bitmap
I think it's shared with the MeB org but not public (not quite sure how to do that..."Publish to the web"?)
      • mayhem
yeah, that should do it. "everything with link can comment" is usually what I go for.
      • bitmap
aight, this should be public I hope https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vRU...
      • alastairp
looks like that's "published", rather than "shared"
      • (but I can still see it anyway)
      • yvanzo
mayhem: Thanks, at least we have clarified it together in the end.
      • bitmap
"how to address problems when the US and the EU is asleep" <- I wasn't sure of how to address this perfectly either, though I'm usually awake until 06:00 utc, so I'll often see some alerts in that time even if I'm not working
      • mayhem
I'll dive into it in detail this week, but this looks like a very nice start.
      • yvanzo
Would be nice to have an AU admin, but that doesn’t mean I’m volunteering to move again ;)
      • mayhem
        heh.
      • bitmap: ok, cool. and not sure how important it is, either -- that is when MB is at its low use point, so it is less likely to break too.
      • bitmap
yea it's not a common time for alerts in my experience, but
      • alastairp: afaict I could only share it with the MeB org
      • alastairp
yeah, docs sharing is a bit shit in that regard. you can say "this org can edit" or "anyone can [edit]/[view]/[comment]", but you don't seem to be able to say "anyone can view, but org can edit"

During the new year's, I had a great trip with my friends and visited some great cities here in India
      • Last year I had mild sinusitis so had been resting. Good now!
      • Have some unfinished business with monkey and looking forward to a great month ahead!
      • Go alastairp !
      • Last week^^
      • alastairp
hello everyone. happy new year, feliz reyes, etc, etc, etc
      • at the tail end of last year after the last meeting (yes?) we launched LB year in music, which from what we saw on twitter went down _really well_
      • I’m really happy with it, and it certainly exceeded my expectations. thanks to lucifer (and everyone else) for all of his amazing work on this, thanks to mayhem for the playlists, I listened to a few with monkey at the office just after we released it and mine summed me up perfectly. Spent a day or so fixing some reported bugs, answering to people on forums/twitter etc.
      • looking forward to seeing which bits of it can be pulled into regular stats

my biggest achievement over the break was cycling 500km in 7 days
      • and then subsequently sleeping most of the following week, because it turns out that cycling 500km in 7 days is really tiring
