Should we renamed bookbrainz-schema to bookbrain-data-python?

Probably, once we've switched over. I'd say keep it as-is while it's still in use.

Or rather, while it's still in use as-is.

Leftmost: is it worth writing down properties we'd eventually like entities to have in the schema document?
2015-12-01 33516, 2015
LordSputnik
That way we could make sure that the schema we end up with doesn't prevent us from expanding in the future

Hmm. Such as what? For me the general idea is to get down something flexible that is unlikely to prevent us from doing whatever. We're not going to be able to anticipate every potential property.

OK, I've written some stuff down (unrelated to additional properties), will likely add some more thoughts/comments later

Freso: now that botbot supports [off], can we cloud host the chatlogs now, or is there something else stopping that from happening?
2015-12-01 33545, 2015
Freso
LordSputnik: ... That's what we're doing?
2015-12-01 33558, 2015
Freso
Or I don't get what you're asking?
2015-12-01 33548, 2015
LordSputnik
Ermm, I mean, can they be hosted with botbot rather than on our own cloud instance? (I forgot that nomo *was* cloud)
Would you really want to? BotBot's IRC logs are down on all other channels (except for #lincolnloop - it seems they've brought it back for their own channel) for several days now.
2015-12-01 33549, 2015
Freso
But also, no, we can't.
2015-12-01 33557, 2015
Freso
Because the [off] requires a per channel setting.
2015-12-01 33502, 2015
Freso
And they're not going to do that.
2015-12-01 33532, 2015
LordSputnik
It's not possible to configure the plugins per-channel on botbot.me?
2015-12-01 33537, 2015
Freso
It is.
2015-12-01 33546, 2015
LordSputnik
But [off] is just a plugin
2015-12-01 33547, 2015
Freso
If you're an administrator there.
2015-12-01 33551, 2015
Freso
Which we're not.
2015-12-01 33559, 2015
LordSputnik
Ah, OK
2015-12-01 33531, 2015
Freso
Only #lincolnloop people have admin access on botbot.me, so there is no per‐channel customisation.
2015-12-01 33501, 2015
Freso
It would also not be possible to move over all our current/old logs.
2015-12-01 33516, 2015
LordSputnik
OK, I'll attempt to update our installation to the latest version again, and see if it works this time
2015-12-01 33535, 2015

ruaok: i'll need your help for writing search servers installation cookbooks, the info in syswiki is rare and/or old ('check out the search server code from svn and build according to INSTALL.', yes ...)

i prepared jiji to server as 14.04 prod server, but first we need to have cookbooks running on a VM. Since you already installed indexer and search servers, could you write up steps somewhere as a basis ? Once i have the main steps i can proceed
