note in the readme, there's a bit about how to add the config directory to your home directory, which should owrk

I changed the default.conf, and put it in the ~/.abzsubmit directory as abzsubmit.conf

yeah, that should work...

the client shows uploaded successfully, but i dont see any such request in the server log or the server stats page

the client prints the message ":) done"

So, how's everyone been doing lately?

Last couple of weeks have been rough here in Leftpondia, but things are looking up a bit.

Unfortunately, I have essentially nothing to report at present, but hopefully I can change that for the next meeting. :)

My last few weeks have been okay though busy but I didn't get any sleep last night

I've been doing a little bit this week, improving the -data-js package, adding some more tests and working out how to do the revisions on the front page now that we don't use polymorphism

it won’t submit the same filename twice

I haven't really done any BB related work except for hanging around on IRC and helping with various GCI stuff

It's quite tricky, but now I'm geting a list of each type of entity sorted by revision time, then combining those

The benefit of doing recent changes that way is that we won't get duplicate entities in the list anymore :)

Well, I'd like to applaud both your plan of using GCI to get someone to write tons of tests and stanislas for doing exactly that :P

I've decided to merge Entity and EntityData and use a simplified model in pybb.

stanislas: that's a good idea :)

Merging them is also probably the more pythonic approach

So, I'm expecting we'll have a February release

At this point I'm not sure whether direct-database will be ready or not, but there isn't a *huge* amount of work to be done

LordSputnik, what remains to be done before -data-js is production-ready? (Though I understand there'd still be work to do in -site.)

And I was thinking also of adding the next level of inheritance in bookbrainz-ws :)

It would make it clearer

When we release this, the current webservice will go down, and will stay down until we've written a node replacement, so we'll have to start working on that ASAP

Leftmost: Well, mainly tests for models, I think. I've got a few models I haven't committed because I wanted to have tests to go with them

Are there any pieces missing from the SQL definitions right now or is that all in place?

a) adding a class that would keep mutual parts of put/post checking and generating

b) moving entity stuff checking to EntityTesting class

Leftmost: no that seems to be holding up quite well

But I don't have any intentions of actually doing that, maybe when it will be ported.

I see two major threads of development for once direct-database is merged: WS and UX. I think we need to work on those in parallel and it would be good to spend some time picking those apart to see what needs done.

See if you guys can come up with a fairly realistic plan for the next 6 months, and also try to work out what we can do by February's release (somewhere between 8th and 15th Feb)

pybb depends on the WS, so we can fold that into WS discussion.

Checking Jira to see what we have open and if there are any smaller issues we can address for the Feb release.

I think the best thing to do would be to have a small release for mid-February and use the remainder of the month to finish up and test the heck out of the SQL revamp.
