some of my mp3 files still have trm ids tagged in them from the classic tagger :/

or maybe the early, pre-qt one did

I actually like the classic/traditional 90's app look better than the early 2000's/late 1990's look.

I feel like a lot of things got very "cartoony" for a period.

like buttons made to look like some rubber stamp being depressed

I do kind of like the current flat trend.

i dislike some times the "flimsy"-ness though, things moving a pixel around if you put the curos in a area

and shadows mavoing too

so why does it bother me so much more now?

are the new icons sacrificing simplicity for artyness and trying to not "be so stereotypical" or something?

I find that new icons, following material design trends at least, very much are trying to be more simple and less artsy.

not simplicity. clearness. an arrow down on a diskett is pretty unambiguous to me as what the meaning is.
