Sophist-UK: I just saw your replies to my question in chat history. Yes, I think the second URL should work, since both URLs are fetching release info. And the purpose of recording= in the second URL is for handling cases where there are more than 50 releases associated to a recording

pika-pool seems to be actual connection pooling

but I guess you really only need one connection per LB process

so maybe not helpful

it's true that the second type (called a "browse" query) is the only way of getting all releases which a recording appears on if there are more than 25

it's also true that the additional data that you can ask for with ?inc is different for browse queries

I'm going to be watching carefully for scalability issues in any case. and honestly connection pooling to rabbit is going to be much further down the list than a lot of other things.

in the worst case, you will have to do a browse query to get all release mbids, and then do a lookup query with the correct inc values for each release

for those who don't know, Flatpak is a new way to build/distribute desktop apps on Linux, with bundling, sandboxing, deduplication and static deltas

right, the name flatpak is a wordplay on flat packing, used among others by Ikea (because it's packaging :P)
