it seems like they're actual flights, though I can't work out what planes they're using. a news article I found suggested that they'd use one of aer lingus' long-haul planes

A330. This smells like level -- I was wondering where they got their planes from. Aer Lingus makes sense.

oh yeah. that's exactly it

the destinations on level's wikipedia page are exactly what I got in my email from vueling

ruaok
also explains the new color scheme of level. not too far from lingus, and no need to redecorate the interior yellow. :)

Relatedly, YouTube once did "popularity" per watched videos, which made some of the "top YouTubers" produce a good amount of relatively short-ish videos. Recently, however, YouTube has started ranking by "amount of time watched", so a single channel with a 30 minutes watch will get more from YouTube than a channel with 5 3 minute clips. So YouTube is going

in the other direction. :)

Pretty sure they've been using "time watched" for a while, haven't they?
And we use mutagen for tags. So I am not sure if it's picard specific.

reosarevok: I have no idea. But it was not just Picard - so it could be some technology that we have in common with the other taggers who put spaces in i.e. Mutagen, or it could be something very esoteric with the firmward in the car's player interacting with something in Picard - or possibly something as simple as some taggers writing ID3v23 and some ID3v24.
Because unless you know enough to make sure that all the tested taggers use the same version, you are probably going to create files with whatever the tagger uses as default. If the car player then had a problem with one of the versions, you would get these symptoms. IMO this is more likely that all the taggers with spaces using Mutagen AND Mutagen having a tagging issue which doesn't show
