Hi all, does anyone know a website that gathers market share by label on a monthly or weekly basis? So far the best solution I've though of is downloading billboard rankings and then mapping the song to the label, but it feels like a lot of work!
rambo: https://wiki.musicbrainz.org/Development/Summer_o… is written for prospective Summer of Code students, but it's a good intro for all would-be code contributors, so I would suggest you read that. :)

samj1912 might partially responsible for an influx of new contributors :p
Newly created users come first, just review the first page, older ones will be batch-cleaned off.

I think I'll need to go full time (or more) if I need to keep up with spam accounts, and I'd rather not until we have SpamBrainz so the data can be used for training.

So, I should ask her to send this to AcousticBrainz, yes? :p
The report was misleading, not reporting limited editors only. I fixed it and restricted it to limited users created less than 1 month ago.

Please test it at least, although with an average 200 accounts created per day, I know you cannot fully keep up with it. The same report will allow to indicate spam accounts to SpamBrainz later on.

yvanzo: I don't know what you mean by "false positives". The report is not a spam filter in itself, as all (new) users will be in that report at some point. E.g., https://musicbrainz.org/user/Jamilahmusic seems to be an artist-made account and I have no reason to doubt that it's legit.

Naw. I really dislike that. I'd rather Ctrl-click.

Also, as soon as there's a verified e-mail address, they'll have an account on Discourse. Would it at all be possible to create a link to Discourse profile? (It doesn't seem like it can be inferred from just the username though. :( )
This is not a report of spam accounts, this is about newly created users and last month limited users. It should just help to kick easily spotted spam accounts out very early.

Not sure what you want me to look for wrt "false positives" then. :) People that are "older" than month and/or not a beginner user?

yvanzo: Edit, vote, and maybe OAuth key counts would be good? (Incl. everything, incl. abstain votes etc.)

False positives are just not-limited user accounts (might be at the end of the report).

(E.g., maybe someone creates an account just to sign up on meb.o, cb.o, lb.o, ... - so may never have edits or votes, but may have OAuth keys.)
