Made some more changes to LB data dumps (hopefully will get released soon)

but the GSoC app and ideas page (thanks to freso for picking up the slack on that dangling agenda item from last week) are in good enough shape for now.

we should continue working on the ideas page and you can expect me to poke you on that further.

but if all goes well, LB is my near sole focus this week.

so this week was mostly spent on working with zas

home sweet home :)

first on securing solr and fixing it on test.mb for x accel stuff

the rest of the week was spent on planning picard 2.0 release with zas

we think its stable enough now and we are trying to push some extra features and mending bugs before making an official release

the biggest blocker is the packaging for windows and osx

apart from that, did a lot of picard reviews

zas has been keeping me busy with PRs :P

So I finally put up next round of mockups for Artist page redesign. What we have done is, we actually have an *overview* page, which guess what, actually gives an overview. And this overview leads to detailed pages showing recordings, releases, events, etc.

Also have started to decide how it will look on other mobile devices.

The other thing I did this week was think about how we are going to implement these mockups. After a lot of research, I figured we need a design system sort of thing. Here is the link where I wrote down the pointers.

Will discuss more about it later.

I was sick the better part of last week, and then I went to Copenhagen to help my mom with her recent move over the weekend, so didn't get as much done as I wanted to. :/

GCI is almost wrapped up now, we need a bit of debate about who to pick for finalist positions, but even that seems almost clear.

(You'll find out the final results in 9 days. ;))

Looked into some reported editors, and removed some spam.

Finally, I made final reviews for GCI and added MB gsoc ideas with bitmap, based on MetaBrainz Summit 17 discussions, based on last year users survey results.

Practically I haven’t done anything noteworthy as such in the last week. I just added the ‘type’ to few artists in MusicBrainz database. Also I introduced few of my friends to MusicBrainz as they wanted to get some information regarding an artist and his release : )
