ruaok: I am not sure if it is feasible but would it be possible to have mutagen under the MeB GSoC umbrealla similar to how we have beets in GCI, would be nice to get lazka to mentor a task for adding various format supports to mutagen (in case he is willing to)
this will also allow us to close some long standing picard tickets

reosarevok finally documents the stuff yvanzo asked him to
made a PR to fix it as per the current code though
we will have to think about how to "fix" it in the long term however
rdswift
Why not finally retire WS/1?
samj1912
that is definitely an option
but bitmap yvanzo and ruaok will know better
rdswift
I mean, it's been noted as being depreciated for years.
samj1912 just noticed yvanzo isn't on irc
Does it actually get much traffic?
samj1912
zas: ^ ?
rdswift
Anyway, it's not my call (and really none of my business). Sorry for butting in.

rdswift: it gets a fair amount of traffic, but since it's been deprecated for SEVEN YEARS, I think that might be droppable anyway

rdswift: this is an open community, you are entitled to have an opinion and you may voice it :D
if they listen to you, that's another case (:
rdswift
Yeah, but I didn't mean to contribute to the general noise. The MeB team already has things well in hand, and doen't really need additional babbeling from me. ;-)

i dont care :) if they dont want input the can tell me to shut up temporarily :D
samj1912 doesn't mind comments from users and I don't think anyone in MeB does either, we generally respond to them in the best possible way we can
samj1912
SothoTalKer: yup :P
SothoTalKer
samj1912: did you see that mac user with that acoustid error from picard over in #musicbrainz? :)
samj1912
I did, no debug logs, so not sure if I can help much

oh the uploaded it to dropbox, but it does not contain anything useful, it looks like the old PICARD-706 showed up again
Leo_Verto: Re: MusicBrainz bot frameworks, did you look at https://github.com/lalinsky/musicbrainz-bot (incl. forks/network!) for Python? There should be a Perl one somewhere too.

SothoTalker: OK, that worked. But I see he's not there, so maybe I'll try and ping him tomorrow.
