ruaok: about the GDPR thing, what about the case if let us say some user created an LB account but does not use that account now. So, that person will never see the dialog box we are creating and will not give us permission to use his data. So, what should we do with that?

maybe an easy way out can be something like FB or google did in the past. Give a dialog that "if you continue to use our services after (whatever date) then you give us permissions for (so and so). otherwise, you can delete your account"

as far as I understand, if you completely disconnect the data from a record of the person in your database, it counts as anonymisation (even if someone else could theoretically reverse it by looking at e.g. lastfm data)

what can we do with the LB datadumps we have already made public. So, the data already submitted can't just go away from the world. (Whatever is on the internet stays on the internet). So, user data will be available somewhere but we won't be using it and we won't keep it.
