I finally put Solr to a close this weekend, releasing it to beta, fixing the initial bugs reported. The punctuation search proved to be a pretty difficult problem to fix, but after 10 files, and 3 Java factories later, I finally managed to solve it. It basically involved modifying some of Solr's tokenizers and filters.
