ruaok: I just upgraded my local PG version, did the update kerfuffle, ran the tests and checked manually. No snag, everything working fine. I'mm adding a couple of steps to the migration document regarding BB
      • 2020-05-18 13905, 2020

      • ruaok
very good. thanks for getting on that so quick. :)
      • 2020-05-18 13952, 2020

      • ruaok
do you have postgres functions in BB? one of the changes that affects us are functions now need to be fully qualified with schema name. that is the only thing that I see as a real snag.
      • 2020-05-18 13954, 2020

      • Mr_Monkey
One question I have is regarding the DB update script that's going to be run. I have no visibility on it (no access to metabrainz/docker-postgres-cluster ?) so I just want to make sure there's nothing else I need to do to point to BB's database
      • 2020-05-18 13917, 2020

      • Mr_Monkey
        I wouldn't even know what a function looks like, so I guess that's a no. i'll check.

      • ruaok
where are your DB creation scripts? gimme a link and I'll help.
      • 2020-05-18 13936, 2020

      • ruaok
regarding the update process -- from your perspective, the DB will go down and eventually come back running 12.3.
      • 2020-05-18 13900, 2020

      • ruaok
if no changes are necessary perhaps you need to do nothing at all.

      • ruaok
yes, you can only migrate whole database clusters all at once -- so there is no choice to leave BB behind.
      • 2020-05-18 13914, 2020

      • Mr_Monkey
