Allow both types, or block new and ask users to click "Classic CA" and paste the resulting ID instead?
Or I guess we could use the new format for those since it's the default, and clean up the 23 we have by hand :p

Its not less students participating but less confindent do take it up.
BTW there are 1-2 people interested in LB and have asked a few questions over DM. I had advised them to discuss on channel but I am not sure if they are hesitant.

just wanted to quickly login to my AWS accoun. it required me to enter a user name, answer a captcha (which I failed one time), enter my password, authorize the login via verification link send by SMS to my phone and provide the code from my authenticator app. this stuff has become crazy
forgot to mention that using the authenticator app invloved using my yubikey as well

I agree. And it's not like you actually have any choice in the matter.

maybe not using 2nd factor auth, that's currently my choice to have activated. but things are more and more pushing towards this, which I generally approve off. but that stuff has anyway become difficult to manage. even logging in to the most simple service sometimes feels like entering a high security facility :D

Is there an API endpoint to lookup a release mbid from a release msid?
Right now I'm using the recording-search on https://labs.api.listenbrainz.org but I'm wondering if there is a way that uses the release msid
