LordSputnik, I'm liking the direction that table inheritance would take us. I think it would allow us to ignore abstractions when they don't need to be explicit but still have those abstractions for when we want them.

I'm now wondering about the wisdom of offloading some of the effort of hiding implementation details like the distinction between Entity and EntityData in postgresql. Have entity be a view of some sort which presents the flattened object. It simplifies the data layer further, but I'm not totally sure of the consequences.

Leftmost: I just tried postgres inheritance out, it is indeed wonderful
LordSputnik, was looking through the docs and I think it'll work great for us. Not exactly sure how to utilize it, though. Revisions, obviously, and Relationships. Unclear if we should rework our entity schemas for it, though.

At the very least, I do think we should have some sort of view for entities that gives the full entity object with data folded in.
