        oh, you're using MBImport.pl directly?
      • 2016-06-13 16516, 2016

      • pingupingu
I am importing mbdump, mbdump-derived and mbdump-editor as highlighted in: https://github.com/metabrainz/musicbrainz-server/…
      • 2016-06-13 16505, 2016

      • pingupingu
i didnt actually see the --tmp-dir option for the InitDb.pl
      • 2016-06-13 16521, 2016

      • pingupingu
so I was running out of diskspace when I was trying to import
      • 2016-06-13 16539, 2016

      • pingupingu
I actually ran initdb with --createdb
      • 2016-06-13 16557, 2016

      • pingupingu
then ran mbimport with the -t (temp dir) to import the dump

      • 2016-06-13 16539, 2016

      • pingupingu
so I guess I could just use the initdb to import the content too

      • 2016-06-13 16550, 2016

      • alastairp
right. I think we discussed this a little in the forum post. it's good to have a pull request so that we can track discussion
      • 2016-06-13 16510, 2016

      • alastairp
you can put [WIP] at the beginning of the title for "work in progress"
      • 2016-06-13 16511, 2016

      • kartikgupta0909
but it wont be merged right?

      • alastairp
I only merge pull requests when they are ready
      • 2016-06-13 16534, 2016

      • kartikgupta0909
and then we can merge all the PRs in the end
      • 2016-06-13 16548, 2016

      • alastairp
a pull request just gives more visibility to the work that you're doing
      • 2016-06-13 16518, 2016

      • alastairp
we should try and organise our work so that they are in small chunks which can be merged
      • 2016-06-13 16535, 2016

      • alastairp
I don't want to stay in the situation that we are in now, where we have 10 open pull requests
      • 2016-06-13 16549, 2016

      • alastairp
it's better to have small bits of work that we finish and merge
      • 2016-06-13 16509, 2016

      • alastairp
we were talking about this a bit in listenbrainz - we can consider having settings to turn on and off features
      • 2016-06-13 16515, 2016

      • kartikgupta0909
cool. I have made a PR. The number is 193
      • 2016-06-13 16518, 2016

      • alastairp
so even if the feature is merged, we can disable it if needed
      • 2016-06-13 16519, 2016

      • alastairp
        great
      • 2016-06-13 16538, 2016

to remind you - I get notifications for new comments on this PR, but not commits
      • 2016-06-13 16541, 2016

      • kartikgupta0909
oh that way we can keep merging small features
      • 2016-06-13 16505, 2016

      • alastairp
if you make a number of changes in response to our comments, you can just add another small message to say that you've done it
      • 2016-06-13 16506, 2016

      • kartikgupta0909

      • 2016-06-13 16544, 2016

e.g., if there were no bugs, it can be merged immediately?

OK, great. I was just considering the title
      • 2016-06-13 16534, 2016

      • alastairp
you could have added [WIP] if it was still in progress, but if you think it's OK, we can leave it like it is
      • 2016-06-13 16555, 2016

      • alastairp
you should choose "Resolve Issue" in jira to put the ticket into the "in code review" status
