ruaok: i'll summarize: i fixed the tests and it needs to be reviewed. Once reviewed, i'll rebase the api_compat and start writing the tests for api_compat as well as native api.

ruaok: since the only major thing left for api_compat is writing tests, so i am aiming to tackle this as well.

MBS-9011 has a release without obvious ACs in use

but the release page shows artists

turns out the AC id differs but the text does not

see also https://beta.musicbrainz.org/artist/3c82a8e6-d7... - it shows all 2 (identical) ways the artist is credited in the database

on my local server it got fixed by changing one AC and then changing it back. so there is code now that merges them in that case.

but that's two non-autoedits; is there a better way?

are there examples of the query parameter for the python musicbrainz bindings? all the examples I see only 1 query parameter, how do I specify 2 or more?

CallerNo6, there is a query='' parameter where you can specify query='artist:blahblah'

but I want to add query='artist:blahblah SOMETHING SEPARATOR release:blahblah SEPARATOR year:')

wouldn't you do those as **fields?

So, like in the example that I (badly) pasted, it searches two fields. artist and release-type.

try 'YYYY-MM-DD' I guess? that's how MB usually does it.
