generally speaking, is every gid used in the data model an mbid, or is mbid as a term reserved for gids associated with top-level entities (artist, work, etc)
      • 2016-11-01 30640, 2016

      • Zastai
for example, alias types and work attributes have types which have both text and a gid; are those MBIDs too, or not? (This is for my class library docs)

Boo. There's a 501(c)(3) whose purpose is to catalog non-profits and make that information available on their site. But they explicitly claim copyright on the data.

My jenkins build on CI has 6 failing tests. The console output doesn't really help; how do I run just those on my machine ("perl -Ilib t/tests.t 176" looks like it wants to run all 409 tests)

create_test_db.sh fails, unfortunately (ERROR: relation "musicbrainz.instrument" does not exist) during/after trigger creation

That’s strange, the instrument table is certainly part of the schema that create_test_db creates.

yeah, initdb is working fine, and the table is there after that. it's just some of the scripts run after that by create_test_db that are messing up. will see if I can figure out where it happens
