mayhem, quick questions about translating meb.org: Translate Unicorn? Customer siezen?
anshuman73
This week I did only Minor Bug fixes on BB, CB and MeB. Also added a small sidebar feature to MBS.
Mostly busy due to school work and exams, which reminds me; I will most probably be off for a while from now on, and come back in April end when I'm done with exams.
Will try my best to finish off MEB-65 and AB-293 before I go off.
last week I've been reviewing a bunch of backlog in AB, and some stuff from LB. I taught a class based around AB and set some homework, who knows what the results will bring.

!
this week I've lent books from the library to read about as much as I can about all the different long-necked lutes and how they relate \o/
I also wanted to apologise for last time dropping out - I really do care about what everyone else is writing, it's always fun to hear about all the progress people make on mb, especially during gci :)
alastairp: oooh, MeB stuff is educational now! Nice ;)
LordSputnik
Leftmost: the only thing I'm planning to change now in that PR is to add component comments, but that can be done after merging if it's ready before I've written them
not much of a review from my side. Just finished with the last bits of GCI. And possible will try to go through some of the LB stuff.

CatQuest: nice work :)
CatQuest
:D
Freso doesn't think bitmap will wake up on time
zas
reviewed/merge last PRs, called for testers/translators/ etc
configured new server williams
Freso
zas: Should we make a blog post?
Re: Picard.
SothoTalKer
sleeping sounds like a good way to avoid the weekly meeting reviews ;)
CatQuest thinks so
zas
We'll do on release
I guess 1.4.1 will follow quite soon
Freso
zas: I was thinking for calling on translators etc., but sure. :)
CatQuest
lots of work being done on this release. it's pretty great :D
zas
I think it needs more audience, but since we'll release next week
CatQuest
wo had been working on transifex merging etc
Freso is really happy to finally have a new Picard release out after more than 2 years of "silence" :)
zas
i also fixed a stupid issue on babar/ssl/LE ;)

Gentlecat

Ok. :)
Unfortunately I wasn't able to do much last week because of school exams, but I'll try to do some more work this week. Especially the new MetaBrainz transifex project cries after some german translations. ;) Other than that I might need some help for the Picard documentary issues, because I don't exactly know what needs to be documented for some parts.
Fin. I think now is general discussion.
Freso
bitmap is still not up?
CatQuest
unles bitmap wakes up
Freso
I guess bitmap can have his review if he wakes up...

CatQuest & loujine, centralised userscript place
TOPIC: MetaBrainz Community and Development channel | MusicBrainz non-development: #musicbrainz | MeB meeting agenda: centralised place for userscripts (GitHub?) (CatQuest & loujine), 2017 summit dates (ruaok), dev. sandbox/MBH-464 (Freso), deprecating HTTP Digest auth (MBS-9207) (chirlu), actually totally really going HTTPS (chirlu), adding CONTRIBUTING.md (samj1912)
CatQuest
ok
Wildwatz
samj1912: Ok. I'll remind that. ^^
CatQuest
so i've had this in my blup for 3 weeks: just gonan paste it
loujine is here
while trying to find that userscript earlier I though of this: why can't we have a musicbrainz.userscripts thingy on github?bitbucket?, and then actually upload everything, then when people make changes to their userscripts, they can PR/pull/whatever those fixes.
like an official userscripts depository with a stationary url so we can point to one place and that's where it is.
it could have folders, like "importers", "editing addition" (for scripts in the editing interface) "web interface" (for things that work on search and viewing like bitmap see inside RG and releases tracks)
loujine suggested maybe a repo linking to subrepos.
I think also CallerNo6 will agree with me that it's basically it's a serious pita to find anything like this (having found various links but things are "bleh") (https://wiki.musicbrainz.org/External_Resources...)
having a centralised place would really benefit us, I can think of very few reasons not to, and I also think the majority of userscript-editors will be ok with it. it would also be really idea because if ever a script is abandoned by its writer, someone else could fork it and continue.
I also volunteer to chase down people and ask them to upload it to the repo/permission to upload it in their stead. 🙋

+1

Sounds useful to me
Freso
I think murdos' repository is kind of the de facto one right now.
