I know that every single one of the tracks on the first page of https://listenbrainz.org/user/Freso has a full set of MBIDs (well, maybe except for Work).

Maybe Simple Last.FM Scrobbler is not able to get to the MBIDs and thus does not submit them?

Freso makes a mental note to play one of the few MP3 files on his way home from the office, to see if maybe it's because SLS doesn't know how to parse Vorbis comments...

Hey guys, I am not sure if this is the right place to ask but I hope somebody can help me with this problem: I set up my local acousticbrainz server using vagrant but when I try to login via musicbrainz (I followed the instruction in the README) i get an error: “Internal server error [Errno 1] _ssl.c:510: error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed”

most android players don't include the mbids in the broadcast play intents that SLS uses to get the info to scrobble

in theory, apps that use the scrobbledroid api *and* play files from the android media store *and* return the media store file handles in the scrobbledroid broadcasts should work with sls
2017-03-12 07145, 2017

I'm using Timber, but apparently it doesn't work with scrobbling. And of course you need scrobbling. You need to submit all your life to MetaBrainz!

(assuming the music files are in a format where the android on your device knows how to read mbids, of course)

hmm. scrobbledroid api supports submitting mbids directly too, I'm not sure what apps do that
