        is it a superpower?
      • or a lamerpower
      • ruaok
what can you buy with a bit of money.
      • how far does it go?
      • CatQuest
well i rememer beign a kid and thikngi almost 10 NOK was quite a bit (and it was)
      • ruaok
far in india, ok in spain, terrible in norway
      • ok, I'm off! back later.
      • CatQuest
well it's not like I'll have anything to do with Euro anyway
      • samj1912
ruaok you can technically get 3 meals here with 1 euro
      • CatQuest
anyway, it sounds like a lamerpower to me
      • samj1912
Atleast in my government subsidized college's mess
      • iliekcomputers doesn't qualify mess food as meals
      • We pay about 87 rs per day for 3 meals
      • iliekcomputers
but yeah it is similar for me also
      • CatQuest would like to point out that even though he lives in norway and that a euro isn't "much"
      • CatQuest
he is not rich because things are relative to each country
      • samj1912
iliekcomputers: maybe not meals for us, but for a homeless guy, it more than qualifies for the a meal
      • CatQuest
        hah
      • I didn't understand "mess" to mean "messhall" until iliekcomputers pointed out
      • but was like "yea it's a mess,.. uh?"
      • iliekcomputers
        samj1912: yeah, I guess
      • CatQuest
but i mena, it's all realive. i bought a pice of bread today for 2.30 nok
      • wich is like.. a third of that euro
      • samj1912
We can buy 5 loaves of bread here for about 1 euro
      • CatQuest
I could also buy a noodle pack for 4 or 5 nok
      • or a kiwi for 3 nok
      • samj1912
And 5 cooked noodle packs for 1 euro :p
      • CatQuest
yea, sadly not that good here. the 5 uncooked noodles is about 25 nok so maybe 2,5 ero?
      • euro*

        Things are definitely cheaper here
      • CallerNo6
<ruaok> the question was, "what does the purchasing power of €.95 in your currency mean to you?" - reminds me...
      • CatQuest
but it's not like you cnat use an euro for things in norway either :D
      • CallerNo6 CallerNo6 CallerNo6 \o/
      • CallerNo6
... for years, "for the price of a cup of coffee a day" meant cheap. Recently I heard instead "for the price of a monthly music subscription."
      • samj1912
        How did this question start?
      • CallerNo6
It all started with the first question. From there, everything was determined by cause & effect.
      • samj1912
        Lol :p
      • I read the chat logs just now :p
      • CallerNo6 waves back to CatQuest
      • There should be a better way to differentiate between read and read(red)

      • CallerNo6
What's the word for a parser that has to go back a few steps and try a different path sometimes?
      • reosarevok
        "I read" vs "I dun read"? :P
      • ruaok
CallerNo6: speaking of purchasing power... You're slacking!
      • samj1912: three meals, eh?
      • iliekcomputers
three government subsidized very low quality meals
      • ruaok
alastairp was suggesting he could save the amount to by riding his bike... In the rain.
      • CallerNo6
If you bring bikes, it gives you a second thing to geek out over at least.
      • (third if you count beer)
      • ruaok
        Ah, iliekcomputers...
      • samj1912
ruaok actually they are pretty good quality in my college
      • But still, mess food is mess food :p
      • ruaok
        Heh.
      • Who is with me? I think we should make sure samj1912 and iliekcomputers make it to the summit?
      • samj1912
I would love to be there! :D
      • iliekcomputers would love to come also
      • ruaok
Sacrificing reosarevok's gelato in exchange for their airfare seems reasonable, no?
      • reosarevok
        Sacrifice your own!
      • But do bring them
      • samj1912
I'd happily get reosarevok his gelato if I get to be there :p

Hello everyone, I have an idea for gsoc I would like to discuss - Integrate more *Brainz in more *Brainz:
      • Create a review recommeder system in CritiqueBrainz to urge users to explore more reviews and write reviews for release-groups which have not been reviewed. We can make use of LB api.
      • Sophist
Q: Does *Brainz have a scrobbler function as per LastFM? Would this help with what psolanki just suggested?
      • CatQuest
A (sort of) not yet, but we will
      • (atleast, that's what I think is te general idea)

Mineo: apart a test of last merged PRs (to be sure we didn't miss anything), nope, we are planning to release 1.4.1 on 1st april
      • After this release, focus on 2.0dev (and 1.4.x will be branches if needed)
