ruaok I still wanted to do a project in the long term. I will be free during my 8th semester entirely. Better to spend that time on coding.

A(n open) recommendation engine would be amazing.
2017-04-27 11723, 2017
ruaok
how about a 1000 of them?

990 of them are going to suck, but 10 will not.
2017-04-27 11736, 2017

far better than what we have now.

I want my own engine that I can tweak that looks for new music and analyizes it and checks to see if I think I might like it.

better than Spotify's release radar.

Freso is very happy he got around "finishing" the Spotify importer script, speaking of - lots of releases only get released to streaming services now

A recommendation engine coupled with something like Kodi or mopidy that can deal with multiple sources (local files, Spotify, YouTube, Pandora, ...) would be a pretty big deal.

reosarevok part of the reason why India lacks behind in research. I study in one of the premier institutions of my country and very few of my professors are actually doing any ground breaking research. Lots of corruption and under the table government projects keep them busy :p

They are basically saying that works are hierarchical and multi-dimensional which we know. There might be mileage for identifying extra tags other than Work i.e. Composer Catalogue Ref(s). And could be useful for the related MBS tickets to provide support for work attributes.
