ruaok: that's up to the api server to accept/deny, but we always have the possibility to add rules on gateways if needed (but that's not my preference, since gateways should not do too much processing). For MB we do a lot of stuff on gateways that should be made on backends (because they scale better therorically), for example for rate limiting stuff we have
