i already run into this problem occasionally, that the only sites i find are mb or sites derving their data from us

Freso
(We've been in talks with them a couple of times, but since the absolute best way for everyone would be for them to have a replicated MB setup to ping against and they don't have the capacity to do that at this point, nothing's really come out of those talks so far.)

CatQuest: You can do "-site:musicbrainz.org" in your searches, to at least block MB results. (Other sites using MB data will be harder to filter out, unless you keep a list and add all of them...)
seems we are getting quite a lot of referrals for mthat yahoo hacker thing still.. :D

To all, be aware that top stuff is based on yesterday's log, robots.txt was deployed during the day (at 16:05 UTC), plus crawlers will not immediatly reflect the change

bitmap, ruaok - do you have a status WRT the replication issue? I'd like to be able to report to our users when we may expect it to be fixed. Sorry to press you - I appreciate that it's probably not that simple :/
