This week was productive :). back in college and finally completed updating my PR https://github.com/metabrainz/critiquebrainz/pu... to reduce database queries made for fetching the information of release groups (by counting queries as alastairp suggested (thanks)) and added a tag helper for fetching tags related to entities.
Gentlecat has a bad connection and might disappear :)
that's all for me. fin
LordSputnik has nothing to report
anyone left? yvanzo maybe
Freso
Well, Gentlecat is left, if his connection allows him. :)
Gentlecat
if
I done a bunch of reviewing for CB, merged and deployed gsoc stuff
started doing some upgrading for forgotten JS code and dependencies
updated some parts of the docs for devs
Freso
(alastairp, around tonight?)
Gentlecat
not expecting to get much done next week, busy moving
alastairp: ?
Freso
Well, no sign of life from alastairp and yvanzo wrote «19:02:42 Y— yvanzo off again», so I guess that means no update from him this week? Or he's offline?
Either way, no more people up for review, and no agenda items on the list.
Thanks for your time everyone!

12 minutes without a single line? Freso really shot everyone this time
Freso
Maybe people somehow still think the meeting is on and doesn't dare speak for another 7 minutes. :p

github has left the channel
samj1912
we are now testing picard on windows \o/
and building it too :D (as soon as I get a packager up and running )
luks: you can finally lay rest to your xp box :P
bitmap
what's it using now?
samj1912
appveyor
its a neat little CI tool for windows
free for FOSS projects :D
basically travis + appveyor will ensure we can build/test on all OSes :D
bitmap
that's awesome
samj1912
yes! :D
I found out about it yesterday
and zas signed up for it
Just set it up :D
currently testing on py3.5/3.6 on windows :D

oh, I forgot, about the JSON API: in my experience it should always return null or [] rather than omit fields when they're empty, except when they depend on actual inc flags (e.g. it won't output relationships: [] if you haven't specified any *-rels flags, as that would be misleading and imply there aren't any relationships)
but I haven't actual went through all the fields and checked this, so I don't have a list or know if it's entirely consistent
if you're wondering about specific fields, I can check
samj1912
well, so far I have only encountered null values
so I think it goes with what you are saying
if I notice something specific, ill let you know :)
bitmap
cool
samj1912
zas: I think we can make windows tests required too now
It's funny. The experience of writing/re-writing/re-writing scripts and making/re-making/rem-making passages for tutorial videos has been like the best experience from gci. I've just been asked to document all my words and actions from my 6-hour coding workshops so someone else can read through them when I'm not present.
Also I'd love to get back to contributing with UI/UX or any icons
SothoTalker_
will you dance, too? :D
gcilou
dance?
CallerNo6
Classic triple-threat. Somebody who can do UI, make videos and dance. Like Donald O'Connor.
gcilou
I see. I used to dance with a folk troupe but that was a while ago :)
CallerNo6
The annoying part is, you're probably good at other things to. That'd make you a tuple-threat.
