On this week I'll be fixing some issues my code has with lucene queries and testing queries with different search conditions. Converting TT templates used in MB to React is in slow progress. I'm not that skilled with Perl which need to be used to feed data to my React templates. It's been been challenging learning experience but I will eventually survive.

So, this week I worked on getting rid of our old templating engine, Jade/Pug

Rest in bits

I was pretty much successful, and now I think we have two Jade templates left out of about 10 at the start of the week, and those templates render the favicon and the boilerplate code (<html>, <head>, etc.) for every page

This allows us to drop a few dependencies too - principally jQuery

On top of that I realized that we aren't currently minifying our production client JS, so I can shave 1MB off the the amount downloaded whenever somebody visits the site

Next up is updating our seriously outdated version of react-bootstrap, and once that's done I think I'm going to stop fixing technical debt stuff for a while

Hey, I worked on picard-plugin-tools this week. Which are basically tools to help package our v2.0 plugins

We are planning on something similar to how chrome manages extensions

With a manifest and everything

Also ported the remaining plugins to v2.0
