samj1912: looks like I figured it out, launchpad got confused by the still existing bzr branches and insisted to change my build script from git to bzr. got it sorted, building right now. and no need for an orphan branch in the main git repo

samj1912: having the flatpak version working better would also be a good thing, maybe also have snap. that would allow users to easily have the latest version on any linux system.
