uncheck "receive emails for your subscribed artist"

And you need to ensure your container actually listen on it

Also firewall rules have to allow traffic on it

I'm considering making an offline MB cache of metadata for an application, is there any existing software that does this well?

you can download the whole database, complete with API and everything you might want from MB in a VM:

this also gives you an SQL prompt where you can extract the data in any which way that suits you.
