Mr_Monkey: biblio data for a book can get released much earlier than the book's release date, so maybe that does make sense (although I'm not sure if you're only doing creator birthdates now, or dates in general)

We certainly get future releases in MB every once in a while

alastairp: That was the discussion. I suppose creator dates shouldn't allow future dates, but others should

although, that's discriminatory towards time travellers

reosarevok: Closed the ticket. The workflow for design tasks is quite restrictive and has to go to mockup need then mockup submitted before being able to close

Huh. This probably shouldn't be a design workflow ticket anyway :p

note that amCap1712 had a problem where they were unable to edit their post after a number of weeks... the recommendation is to copy the proposal into a google docs give world-permissions for people to add comments. This will be useful for you in the future because you need to submit it as a google doc anyway

OK, I'm just thinking about some other idea's for pulkit6559's proposal (https://community.metabrainz.org/t/missing-releas…) especially realtime or semi-realtime computation... I suspect that reading from the database will be too slow

for choosing features, you mean?

pulkit6559: one piece of feedback before I get further into your proposal, you've got too many things. I guarantee that you won't be able to finish everything that you proposed in the SoC timeline. I suggest that you choose to do the statistics page and one of the visualisation/visual maps

a smaller proposal that has more detail and shows evidence of planning has a much better chance of being accepted than a large proposal with only a very superficial description of the tasks
