you want a proper translation or just summary by point?
the gist of it is: 1. "free use" - you're free to use them as you see fit. he uses youtube and other mediums as reference, but it's generally hand drawn by him so should not be and issues with the copyrights. the guy is not a professional, so there might be inaccuracies; 2. there's no need to credit him, but if you add a credit as "Illustrated by IROMBOOK" he'll be happy; 3. new illustrations - he links to his newest illustrat

shivam-kapila: Hey. Welcome :) What do you want to talk about?
we can put the original and this translation up on a page (wikipage) to prove we have "free use" (always good to document things)
and set to work on implementing things?

Hello! Mr_Monkey I would like to contribute to the bookbrainz project for GSOC 2020. Do you have any suggestions for the same? I mean should I just fix random bugs or should I work on some specific feature that might eventually be significant for GSOC?
Also are there other mentors for Bookbrainz project too?
Mr_Monkey
Hi abhishekpanwar, welcome back !
I don't have any precise suggestion for features that would be part of GSOC at the moment. I'm just about to finish GCI, and haven't put my GSOC hat on yet :)
But any ticket that catches your eye is a good excuse to familiarise yourself with the project !
last year I was the only mentor for BookBraizn in GSOC. We'll see about this year !
abhishekpanwar
Oh Okay! No I mean you know I can't start building new features to the project right? It has to be done according to some plans right?
Mr_Monkey
absolutely. There is a round of project proposal before GSOC starts
abhishekpanwar
So I think for now I should just get familiar with the code and understand it properly by fixing bugs etc.
Since the code is quite complicated and massive and can really make even an experienced developer doubt his skills let alone a beginner like me. LOL
Mr_Monkey
Agreed! When I first started working on BookBrainz, it definitely felt overwhelming !
abhishekpanwar
Alright! Thanks
Mr_Monkey
Good luck! Don't hesitate if you have questions :)
CatQuest, prabal: I redeployed the BB websites with the various fixes of the past week, including that pressing issue with creating Editions. Thanks prabal and sbvkrishna for the PRs !
