After ripping it, I can't seem to get Picard to match and tag it.

Any hints on how to tag one CD out of a set?

HenryG: if all else fails you can simply drag the link from your browser to Picard to have Picard load the release
2020-03-02 06213, 2020
HenryG
kuno: The release loads in Picard, but it has all 12 + 11 + 11 + 10 + 9 + 10 + 10 + 9 + 17 tracks as one set. I want to match only the last 17 of those tracks.
2020-03-02 06242, 2020
kuno
HenryG: it should be showing as separate discs, right?
2020-03-02 06211, 2020
kuno
just drag the tracks from the left side to the release?
2020-03-02 06203, 2020
HenryG
kuno: It takes forever to load the release in Picard, please be patient while I try again...
2020-03-02 06250, 2020
kuno
oh nope, I thought you could collapse/expand individual discs, but it's just releases. my bad. Still, it shouldn't matter that much. Even if picard gets it wrong and put some of the tracks on the wrong discs, you can just drag them to the correct track afterward.

HenryG
The release finally loaded. (It looks like coverartarchive.org is very slow today.)
Mr_Monkey: So I understood that the RevisionModel is referring to a particular type. And I should get the model by type and then entity by using that model. But I used the getEntityByBBID method is also doing the same.

https://test.bookbrainz.org/search?q=harry+potter clicking on any search result opens a new tab. I personally would've preferred if it opens in the same tab. What do you think? @Mr_Monkey @CatQuest

Pac23
so yeah i did check out the code,
2020-03-02 06209, 2020
Pac23
also in the description go/rust is mentioned
2020-03-02 06247, 2020
Pac23
imo go would be a better choice given the avability of libraries,example codebase and the easy syntax
2020-03-02 06250, 2020
Pac23
and userbase
2020-03-02 06208, 2020

also can i simply start working on this ? i can start by creating the api endpoint

bitmap: yvanzo do you mean implementing a feature to keep track of edits and keep a list of them for review. Similar to list of task, created a list of edits that can be reviewed which can be sorted using date, type etc

```Improve the UX of voting for edits of the MusicBrainz database```
prabal. personally I like if it opens in a differnt tab tbh
2020-03-02 06220, 2020
CatQuest
I can "open in the same tab" if I chose it from the rightclick menu
2020-03-02 06233, 2020
CatQuest
.. i wonder if this coudl be opt to an option for the user
2020-03-02 06249, 2020
"open search resutls in new tab/same tab" like
2020-03-02 06206, 2020
generally when editing/adding/etc and oy uare provided with several. you want ot open up several
if you click one and it's the wrong one, same tab you have to go back and then select another one
2020-03-02 06247, 2020
already with 3-5 things to chekc it gets tedious and you cna messup wher yo uare
2020-03-02 06208, 2020
open up 4-5 or 1-10 resutls in each on tab means you can quickly close unrelevant ones
2020-03-02 06242, 2020
CatQuest
comapre tabs etc
2020-03-02 06210, 2020
CatQuest
on the other hand, middle click or ctr/command click usually opens things in a new tab by default
2020-03-02 06203, 2020
prabal
mozilla firefox do not have 'Open in same tab' feature in right click menu
2020-03-02 06203, 2020
CatQuest
I think this depends on the user's workflow. which naturally varies between users
2020-03-02 06219, 2020
CatQuest
hmm must be an add-on i have :D
2020-03-02 06248, 2020
CatQuest
probably "menu wizard"
2020-03-02 06226, 2020
CatQuest
my advise for this for this would be "make it an option"
2020-03-02 06229, 2020
CatQuest
so user that wants same tab and has a workflow for the rare times of opening in a nother tab has their option. and user liek me wich generally prefer new tab and has a workflow for opening in same cna have their option
2020-03-02 06258, 2020
prabal
even chrome do not have 'open in same tab' feature. Right now i can't open the search result in same tab. But if we make it default like google search, it will give me both option- to open in same tab by clicking, and new tab by control+click or right click
prabal: opening in a new tab is my personal preference, which is why I coded it that way. That being said I'm not completely opposed to opening in the same tab. I agree ideally we can eventually have a user preference to decide that
If you want to open a pr to open in same tab on accounts of it being a more standard behavior, go ahead.
