ishaanshah[m]: i'm gonna take a last look at your proposal today. haven't looked at it yet, so you might have done this already, but let's mention that we'll try to introduce typescript into the stack before or during community bonding.

i'm gonna look at proposals today or tomorrow depending on how lazy i am.

should we try and do a release?

let's look at if there are any code tasks blocking release and if so how big they are.

i don't think there are many to be honest

k, sounds good. I'l focus on resting and reviewing proposals today.
ishaanshah[m]: I was observing your proposal and liked it. But had a basic thought in mind. Will the users be willing to see so many graphs? Some things look good graphically but some things like top artists albums etc would look better in terms of UI than graphs. But this is just a personal opinion.

shivam-kapila: it's good to aim higher. we might decide eventually not to do as many as in the proposal, but it's nice to have choices in what we'll do

Some stats can shown in other ways rather than graphs

shivam-kapila
iliekcomputers: I mean that the stats are all meaningful. I was doubtful about the way to present them
Cyna: I'm not sure I understand the demo completely. Mainly, there are "Author" and "Publisher" fields on the basic information tab, but they also have their own tabs. How do you reconcile both?
2020-03-27 08734, 2020
Mr_Monkey
It's not clear to me why author and publisher have separate tabs, but the contents of the book don't. I think the importance of a book's content probably requires its own section.
2020-03-27 08734, 2020
Mr_Monkey
It's also unclear what the identifiers and external links refer to in contextual information (the title of the tab is also too vague). I think you should continue to clarify your sections and workflow, at this point it's much more important to have a solid user experience than a good demo :)
2020-03-27 08754, 2020
Mr_Monkey
i recommend again you go through the process of entering a few books to get a better feel of the current workflow

Mr_Monkey: the Author and Publisher tabs are for those who have info on author and publisher. The basic info tab takes in consideration only the name of the author and publisher for a quick entry
2020-03-27 08723, 2020
Cyna
I couldn't come up with suitable name for contextual tab.. Its basically additional details of the book
2020-03-27 08722, 2020
Cyna
You can simply move forward with the preview and submit from the first tab without having to look at the other tabs as they are optional. The necessary info like author name and publisher name will already have been entered. Author and Publisher have seperate tabs if the editor wants to go into the specifics
2020-03-27 08748, 2020
Cyna
A newbie editor should have to look for identifiers and external links. He just has to fill in the basic information and be done with the edit
2020-03-27 08757, 2020
Cyna
Whereas the experienced editor who has a book with 15 works can go to the additional details to add all the work related to the book and therefore linking them. They name of the work will not necessary be the same as the name of the book
2020-03-27 08707, 2020
Cyna
I can remove author and publisher tab and have only basic information and additional details if that what is required
