Eventuallu we can put troi in a container that handles this
      • 2020-07-25 20706, 2020

      • ruaok
Things should be tested in troi first.

Installing musicbrainz-server on centos7 has been an experience (non-docker). So many dependancies that I've had to parse code to find what's missing. I think next time I go this route, I'll try the docker solution. :)
      • 2020-07-25 20725, 2020

      • samr
I've built a mostly complete Makefile that will do the entire installation (packages, dependancies, database, set up etc)

      • 2020-07-25 20724, 2020

      • samr
I have not. I've struggled largely finding dependancies (cpan modules not already installed, libs not installed with barebones server install). I kind of made my life harder by going with a stripped down centos installation.
      • 2020-07-25 20728, 2020

      • samr
but with a little work, I could probably copy over the makefile and shell scripts it uses and install on a clean system (that's kind of my goal...) Kind of an old school puppet like set up.
