I'm not sure if pg_dump will dump the contents of a view
that looks interesting. if you create a materialized view and dump it, pg_dump will treat it as a table (a materialized view uses disk space, so you'll ~double the space used by the collections table, and you can't easily "import" it again because you'll need different definitions depending on if you want to use it as a view or a table)
