akshaaatt[m]: yes i did. changes look good to me. i haven't completed testing it yet though. in the meantime, you can look into work on something else if you wish. just create a new branch based on your existing PR branch instead of the master.

chaban: seems to me that if you run 90 000 records (albums?!) through a software before testing settings etc first, not look up how to fix it, not try to fix it *using the tool* but instead blames the database, you deserve having to work 2 years to "fix" it

i bet it's something simple like VA releases with %(track)artist%/%album%/%track% - %artist% or something too

<_lucifer "akshaaatt: yes i did. changes lo"> Great! On it. _lucifer I'll be drafting my GSOC 2021 proposal soon. Would love your thoughts on it. I'm keen on completing this application this year with you, with a unique design and more added features to the app :)

_lucifer: are we planning on a redesign of the app again this year?
2021-03-28 08702, 2021
_lucifer
shivam-kapila: there's scope for adding themes or improving the UI at some places but a redesign doesn't look useful to me.

akshaaatt[m]: cool. the tagger feature in particular could use some work. from perspective of both UI and capabilities.

_lucifer: yeah. I was wondering if akshat had a complete redesign in mind then that could be something not needed at the moment

shivam-kapila: Definitely not a complete redesign but I do have an aim for a cleaner UI with a few more animations and getting the app widely spread for general usage to all age groups! I love this app and I find it quite useful myself.

Did anyone recently work on YT playback recently? _lucifer or Mr_Monkey ? It seems to be working now

shivam-kapila, it works if the track is associated with a videoId.
2021-03-28 08736, 2021

a youtube videoId. in other cases, we search youtube and that search functionality is what doesn't work.

CatQuest: also, is a database "compiled by committee" supposed to be a bad thing? Who needs standards eh? :)

Another potential Picard ID3 weirdness: It appears to write ID3v2.4 tags into v2.3 files (e.g. TDRC and TDOR, which are not defined for the earlier version). Should I open a ticket for this or is this a known bug?

outsidecontext or zas might be able to help you.

elomatreb[m]: open a ticket, so we can discuss the issue there, outsidecontext should be able to answer better than me about ID3 tags

false alarm, I got tricked by my debugging tool silently normalizing the frames to ID3v2.4
