<12lazybookwyrm> In this case it "Start the Revolution Without Me" only has 1 new recording that wasn't previously released on another edition of "The Future is Medieval"
<12lazybookwyrm> (9 of the tracks were released on the CD version of "The Future is Medieval" and 3 of the tracks were released on the digital & lp version of "The Future is Medieval")
<02milkweed9295> Ok so, I started to investigate this because I have both versions but Lidarr is only able to accept one of the releases. Lidarr's info is based of MB right, so they mentioned to me that I should check with you on if it should be separated out.
<02milkweed9295> I guess that since it was a totally different title it should be corrected? And not a subtitle like "The Future is Medieval: Start the Revolution Without Me".
<02milkweed9295> And also with discogs and allmusic (not that it makes it authoritative) having them separated as well made me look into it with you all.
<12lazybookwyrm> Looks like Discogs also groups that one together, it's probably just that no one has merged the one you found yet (though tbh I'm not familiar with Discogs style guidelines on that topic)
<12lazybookwyrm> I've never used Lidarr, but it sounds like they should program support for multiple releases from the same release group. I personally use beets to manage my music and I set it up to keep releases in same group separate because I have multiple releases from on release group

<12lazybookwyrm> (the Believe releases are actually two separate release groups, on the flip side of this situation where releases share a name but have completely distinct contents)
Does anyone know if carl cox did a remix or edit of slice 2010? its titled as rerub. not sure if its to be a dubbed version or quite what? Also I noted there are 2 duplicates on amazon and Spotify. both of the exact same ep. track listing, times ECT. Any thoughts if this is correct or quite what? https://musicbrainz.org/release/204a7542-f9c4-4...

You can check if the Spotify releases have the same barcodes by plugging them into https://atisket.pulsewidth.org.uk/ - if not, the links belong to two releases in MusicBrainz (even if everything else is the same). Sometimes the label admin stuffs up and uploads twice, or the band uploads it as well...

Updating test.mb.o…
Done.
wileyfoxyx: I updated the test server with the latest translations just now.
wileyfoxyx: Note that the test server can be used to test different things at once, so the code isn’t exactly the same as in the branch `beta` which is followed by Weblate; See https://github.com/metabrainz/musicbrainz-serve...
wileyfoxyx: More particularly, some recently updated source strings may be in beta/Weblate and not in test.

<08wileyfoxyx> i already noticed the vice versa, that some earlier translated strings have been gone (even though I did fixed the translations for them). but still thanks for telling
<02milkweed9295> Thanks for the detail. I'll take a look at beets a bit further since it's been a while since I had.

<07aszazin> [no label] has two links which I believe do not belong there:
<07aszazin> On Discogs, artist self-releasing get a Not On Label (Artist Self-Released) entry, I guess it's not really helpful to link this massive list of pseudolabel entries on the [no label] profile.

<08wileyfoxyx> probably a result of merging Lil Peep and Ye labels with [no label]
<07aszazin> Looks like [no label] is protected against editing. Maybe an auto-editor should fix it?
kellnerd
Auto-editors can not edit this label either, but anybody can edit the URL and remove the relationship to the label.

<07aszazin> That makes sense, thanks. Fixed it.

I accidentally created two releases when I meant to add medium for the second disc of a 10 disc box set. Can I get the votes to merge the two into one and fix my misake before working on the rest of the set? https://musicbrainz.org/edit/111615032
discordbrainz
<04elomatreb> TheProgPilgrim: Since a merge is a potentially destructive edit it will take at least two days to apply even with votes
TheProgPilgrim
That's still better than the 6 days without votes.
