fourth: can you take my dumb questions out of Freso's paycheck?
Maybe the api key has to do with datasets. But I don't know that that is either.
Freso
My guess is that Gentlecat or alastairp would be able to tell you.

0th: (from yesterday) there's setup.py --install, but no --uninstall or --upgrade. How would I do those things?
Wildwatz
CallerNo6: I updated the How-To just some minutes after you commented on my GCI task. I tested it myself and indeed Freso was right, that AcoustIDs are not related to the AcousticBrainz analyzes. I think I have been confused by the "Add a release" tasks and the word "Acoust" which led me to think of a relation.
Freso
Wildwatz: You're not the first.
CallerNo6
Wildwatz, yeah, totally understandable.
Freso
CallerNo6: Use a package manager.
CallerNo6
Freso isn't explaining it as if I'm 5.
If I run setup.py --install, isn't my package manager unaware of the installation?
Wildwatz, did I mention that asking dumb questions is part of the job?

^ +1
Freso
CallerNo6: Exactly.
Hence why you shouldn't do `setup.py --install` to begin with. ;)
CallerNo6
Aha! I was setup.py to fail!
Wildwatz
CallerNo6: Not that I would remember.

fifth dumb question: when logging into beta.acousticbrainz, I get an ISE. Is that the beta-ness of it all? Or should authentication be working?

CallerNo6
(or during "catching up after the holidays")
Gentlecat
sorry, I don't know what's going on with beta these days
CallerNo6
oh, Gentlecat, congrats on being the search dude. expect dumb questions in that domain too :-)
BTW Leftmost, the likely reason why your test case didn’t work wasn’t the punctuation, but the debouncing (I had asked for the same ticket shortly before).
