reosarevok: if you're still in the IA slack, can you see hank's question about the multiple images and type=Front test? I'm not sure what the plan for the types is
zas: I added 250, 500, and 1200 keys to the thumbnails in index.json
unfortunately there will always be a "1200" key even if that image doesn't exist (if the original is under 1200px, it apparently isn't generated)

we have no way of detecting that, because we don't know what size the original image is, and thumbnails aren't generated until after we submit the index.json

Hi, hope everyone is doing fine. I would like to contribute to MetaBrainz and participate in the upcoming GSoC, can someone please help me as to how to start or go about it?
zas: bitmap: I've been trying to figure out rsyncing LB dumps and have a question: how does the `rsync-fullexport-files` access these keys (https://github.com/metabrainz/docker-server-con... where are these keys present on the servers?
zas
iliekcomputers: i don't know, but i'll have a look in a while
bitmap: about "always be a 1200 key", i'm not sure to understand, do you mean index.json may contain links to images that don't exist (and never will) ?
current situation is the following: if the original image is <1200 px, 1200 px thumbnail is the image
if no 1200 px thumbnail was generated, the index.json has no such key (old releases, old index.json)
can we assume all newly generated index.json will have a 1200 px key (and url) ? whether this thumbnail is smaller or not than original image depends on the original size

I was running import on local setup of listenbrainz. Initially, it was struck at message saying 'import is starting
I thought it was some dependency issue, so I tried installing dependencies using pip and it gave some errors. I somehow fixed it and also added the lastfm key. Now it's struck at 'working'.
Someone pls help
Also, there is no log generated for it

bitmap: "we have no way of detecting that, because we don't know what size the original image is, and thumbnails aren't generated until after we submit the index.json" How was this handled in the existing system for images that were less than 500px? I assume the same way that you're suggesting for the 1200px, in which case precedent has been set and we (as users) should already be used to it. I guess it sort of depends if CAA
will serve up the original image in that case or whether it will provide a "not currently available" type response.
