Hi, I am Prakriti from India. I wish to work on the project "critiquebrainz", through the GSoC program. During the build process, I am encountering some errors. I have completed the build process till "Build static files". I am getting errors in https://critiquebrainz.readthedocs.io/intro.htm....
I'm getting the error while running the command : docker-compose -f docker/docker-compose.dev.yml run critiquebrainz python3 manage.py dump import cbdump.tar.bz2
I think that is the major show stopper for asking people to help test beta.

yvanzo: is uri_for_action ported somewhere?
iliekcomputers
ruaok: not sure, the rabbitmq connection seems to get closed after one submission somehow, will need to take a closer look.

iliekcomputers: I'm facing another issue in the Testing section (https://critiquebrainz.readthedocs.io/intro.htm...). While running the command: docker logs -f critiquebrainz_web_test_1, error message occurs as: Error: No such container: critiquebrainz_web_test_1.
iliekcomputers
Hmm, I'm not that familiar with CB

Prakriti: run tests by using `docker-compose -f docker/docker-compose.test.yml up --build`
iliekcomputers
ferbncode[m]: perhaps a docs update is needed?

iliekcomputers: Yeah, just the change in name of the container for the logs
Let me send one PR for updating the schema version too.

> BB: I see some influx init files, which don't appear to be functional presently. I am interested in attempting to complete the integration, if anyone could guide me a bit through it.

bukwurm: what is it that you'd like to do? Influx is pretty much integrated at the moment, it's just turned off
bukwurm
Ok, I was not sure if it's fully integrated.

@LordSputnik: Is there something there needs to be done in this regard?
bukwurm wonders why it is turned off
:-)
LordSputnik
It's turned off because the server BookBrainz is running on doesn't have enough memory to run everything running on it at the moment
So not a code issue, just a deployment thing

But for the Bookbrainz, Could I use python?

In last.fm while submitting listens we can specify MusicBrainz Track ID, but it does not validate that (there is no error code in case mbid is invalid). While in LB we do validate that. So should api_compat validate mbid's or not? cz if we validate mbid and it turns out to be invalid we can't write anything in the response. whereas if we don't validate mbid we will be inserting wrong data into LB's
