Also, I will probably be moving to London in August :D
That's it for me.
CatQuest
:O wow permanently
?
samj1912
reosarevok, next
CatQuest
pong reosarevok
samj1912
CatQuest: probably :p
Freso
reosarevok hasn't said anything, let's go with kartikeyaSh_ircc instead for now.
CatQuest
samj1912: :O :D
kartikeyaSh_ircc
hi
reosarevok
Sorry, I'm back, I'll take after kartikeyaSh_ircc
kartikeyaSh_ircc
This week I worked on my proposal and modified it according to the suggestions from ruaok
CatQuest
i've got one sentence after reosarevok
Freso
(Also, almost half the meeting is over. Let's try and do reviews a bit speedily. :))
kartikeyaSh_ircc
Now I've added examples from the data dump available, added stats to show how much the algorithms will accomplish. And now I got some questions from alastairp which i'll try to answer ASAP.
that's it for me.
CatQuest
π
kartikeyaSh_ircc
reosarevok: go ahead
ruaok
kartikeyaSh_ircc: looking much improved!
reosarevok
Hi! And sorry, I missed the time
So, I did the usual support
Then I added the instruments bit, CatQuest already mentioned that though :)
And I'm doing a bit of code, but nothing on that unless it works out :)
CatQuest: your sentence?
CatQuest
[18:39] <alastairp> if anyone wants to copypasta my status: "Reviewd rsh7 and kartikeyaSh_ircc's proposals"
just that
heyoni has quit
Freso
LordSputnik: Go.
LordSputnik
Woo!
Ok
So this week I reviewed the three BookBrainz proposals for GSoC
manofcode[m]
Hey everyone!!
This was was a bit stressfull and fun too.
I worked on understanding MB codebase for importing ratings. Then I posted my initial draft of the proposal. The weekend was wholly-owned by the hackathon organized here, then today I finished up with the final draft of my SoC proposal after iliekcomputers[m] suggestions.
Oops, thought it was my turn...
LordSputnik
Haha
Sophist-UK joined the channel
I thought they were all pretty good so far, so I'm looking forward to seeing the final submissions
Also chatted with bukwurm quite a bit on IRC
And talked with OpenLibrary about using their data in BookBrainz
fin.
Freso
(People up: akhilesh_, vishichoudhary, rsh7 β anyone else who want to go, please let me know explicitly.)
LordSputnik
akhilesh_: go!
akhilesh_
Hi.. everyone!
This week I worked on adding a table with total entity count on the statistics page.
(Only rsh7 is left. If no one else speaks up, we'll continue with agenda after vishichoudhary and rsh7.)
vishichoudhary
this week i work upon suggestion suggested by samj1912 and zas on my intial draft of gsoc proposal
I just finished up submitting my final purposal in gsoc site
have to update my draft in community forums
that's it. from my side
Freso
rsh7: Go! :)
vishichoudhary
rsh7 please go :)
rsh7
Hello!
CatQuest
hi
!
rsh7
I have worked on improvements and new additions to my GSoC proposal this week and today I will work more on it according to the feedback by alastairp for the final submission tomorrow.
Thank you for the review alastairp! :)
I have also started working on a feature which will allow the users to download the entire dataset of any other user in a single click.
that's it from my side
fin!
Freso
Alright
iliekcomputers: CB ideas feedback!
iliekcomputers
so hey
CatQuest
\o
ferbncode
we met and discussed ideas for increasing reviews on CB:
the highest version of opera in the list is 50.0 (at 0.22%) which should theoretically be covered by chrome, since they use chrome and follow their versioning
Freso
(I think that's why we kept FF 44 last time.)
yvanzo
Freso: Yes.
ESR is 52 now
bitmap
so I wonder if we should drop opera or not since it's already probably covered and doesn't meet our 0.5% threshold
CatQuest
well I know f.ex jesus uses opera
Freso
How about we drop it for now, and tell jesus2099 to let us know if things break badly and we can consider putting it back on on its own?
CatQuest
same with ff44? Q_Q?? π
Freso
(Or make a note on the "supported browsers" list that Opera and Chrome should be the same, but Opera users should let us know if Opera behaves much differently from Chrome?)
yvanzo
+1
bitmap
yes, that sounds fine
CatQuest
π
Freso
Alright.
Motion carried then?
CatQuest isn't happy :(
CatQuest: Sorry. :/
CatQuest
can't you do the same with ff44?
"let us know if things break badly and we can consider putting it back on on its own?"
Leo_Verto
the web designer inside me is happy
CatQuest
¬¬
Freso
CatQuest: We already did once 6 months ago. Also, things won't start breaking from one day to the other.
bitmap
tbh IE 11 is going to be the limiting factor here, if we support IE 11 then FF44 will almost certainly work as well
CatQuest
:O
oohhkk.
I'll take it!
:D
Freso
CatQuest: :)
yvanzo
CatQuest: Actually, even Debian Wheezy moved to FF 52.
Freso
Let's wrap up? bitmap, yvanzo got anything more on this?
bitmap
nope, that's all
Freso
Alright!
CatQuest
I'm on macos 10.7 tho not debian
Freso
Thanks for your time everyone!
CatQuest
thank you Freso !
CatQuest goes to make dinner :D
was great hearing about travels in india and ideas onward. also looking forward to more chhavi designs :D
yvanzo
CatQuest: I mentioned it just because itβs one of the most conservative distribution. :)
CatQuest
Β―\_(γ)_/Β―
well I know that about debian. doesn't mean that it's easy for someone with a lot of tab groups π
CrossPollinationBrainz lolz. should that be Brainbzzzzz ?
dpmittal
iliekcomputers: Are you free right now? Wanted to discuss my doubts regarding CB-245.
:o so we actually decided to move ratings to CB after all? \o/
iliekcomputers
CatQuest: yeah, we decided that ratings made more sense in CB
CatQuest
that's what I've bee nsaying!
anyway that's a good idea. also for crosspolination: make it possible to rate *from* mb but store it *on* CB, and ofcourse be able to suggest "review this" as well
hmm reviewing singular recordings? that never occured to me, we can do this?
iliekcomputers
CatQuest: we can't, right now
CatQuest
it's much easier for me to do that thna whole albums
