rdswift, Mr_Monkey: great. i have already found two bugs. one that if submission fails the listen is duplicated in the payload (though that effectively makes no difference since the timestamp is same for both entries) and second is that while sending multiple listens there is some error in creating the json. i'll fix those and ping you again
rdswift: Mr_Monkey: put the above file in ~/.local/lib/deadbeef and then run deadbeef and go to preferences, enable listenbrainz plugin. put your auth token in the field and save
after that the process is automatic
if you are able to see logs, send me those if there are any issue.it will help in debugging errors.
do let me know it goes.
also libcurl should be installed for the plugin to work.

iliekcomputers: let me know when you want to get started. my attention might be more scattered today as I have various obligations, but I can certainly help keeping the ball moving
iliekcomputers
Right, I've been lazing in bed. I'll try to get up. 😂

the little indian ghost haunting my flat got me to get up. 😆

i'll look into running the request-consumer on leader first
and then see if the consumer on lemmy is good
we need smaller names for all these consumers 😂
ruaok
I saw at least two or three problems in the past when you started the script
iliekcomputers
which one?
the leader one
ruaok
the manifest error and the zip file perms. I think we probably need to name the zip file differently from the one that run.sh uses.
iliekcomputers
right
ruaok
yeah
let me do that real quick.
iliekcomputers
ok, cool.
>docker: Error response from daemon: Conflict. The container name "/spark-request-consumer" is already in use by container "8c761071afa5db6c9831118a874dba7a1492b473c34544430e9052dbdbd23f59". You have to remove (or rename) that container to be able to reuse that name.

iliekcomputers: are the existing queries misnamed?
we will want last-month and all-time queries post haste -- simple low hanging fruit.
iliekcomputers
ruaok: what existing queries?
ruaok
the existing spark queries. are they all time or last month?
iliekcomputers
they are all time
ruaok
either way, I want to make sure we don't erase something we will want soon.
ok, then good.
let's finish this before adding more...
iliekcomputers
exactly my thinking

the queries aren't ideal, they're erroring out.
i'm gonna modify stuff to only do artists for now, once we know that the pipeline is good, we can work on optimizing the other stuff.
bitmap: I'm thinking on running keydb on kiki/herb (with herb by default), using a combo of keepalived/haproxy/keydb (all this in docker), and listening on internal 10.2.2.x network (I'll prolly use 10.2.2.1 as virtual IP, or any that is unlikely to conflict with machines IP, as we use final number on both external and internal IPs)
this way, in normal conditions, herb will be used (it is almost not used atm, since it's a spare replacement for kiki)
and I'll prolly set up keepalived for gateway nginx too
ruaok: in this context it'd make sense to upgrade kiki/herb (EX41 with 32g RAM) to EX42 (same cpu, but 64g RAM) or the like, there are setup fees at the moment though (and it can wait)
