zas: the 7-day graphs for load, blks_hits and temp_bytes don't look normal to me, though I don't see anything obvious right now
I just killed one query that was stuck, but
it *looks* like someone or some thing is requesting every VA release ever
since all these slow queries being logged are from Data::Release::find_by_artist, have WHERE acn.artist = '1', and ridiculous offsets like OFFSET '86400'
zas: check grep -F 'GET /ws/2/release?artist=89ad4ac3-39f7-470e-963a-56509c546377' in prod.musicbrainz-website.access.log, someone's doing strange things from a bunch of different ips :P
we should still fix the find_by_artist query to not be so slow an maybe reject offsets exceeding some sensible number, but
the thing I think muight make sense is if Hildegard's works are added, and that links between this book's work and hers are made
something like "[bookwork] contains {partial} ... by [hildegardwork]
the .. is the wrod i have problems with
ford*
word ffs
does this seem sane to you/have you any feedback

Mr_Monkey
So the "Hildegard av Bingens urtehage" contains some of Bingens' works?
CatQuest
excerpts of it (that's the word i was looking for!)
Mr_Monkey
The relationship you described makes sense in that case. There is a "WorkX contains WorkY" relationship that could apply
CatQuest
and translated int omodern norwegian via (probably) modern german, yes
ooh that's perfect
Mr_Monkey
The partial"" part at the moment is the issue
CatQuest
yes
for now we can use contains
Mr_Monkey
Yes
CatQuest
the "contains excerpts" could be a future child relatinonship
Mr_Monkey
Agreed
Mr_Monkey adds to /opens ticket
CatQuest
for books, quotations and thel ike are so common that a spearate rel is neccessary I feel, since there is a difference between "just a quote" and "countaisn parts"
Mr_Monkey
Definitely
CatQuest
ok last final thing before I'll let you go on with it:
there is a dart of types for non-fiction
Mr_Monkey
And then there's also possibly "references" for when a book appears as a source but is not quoted
CatQuest
oh yes! i'd love such a rel too!
this book has a rich refrence sectino wich woudl be cool to link
oh! imagine how much interesting data we coudl ahve aobut what boosk refrences what books
Mr_Monkey
> there is a dart of types for non-fiction
What was this about?
CatQuest
there are few types for works, for non-fiction
there is adiference between f-ex colouringbooks and herbaries
ruaok wastes more hours battling datetime vs epoch vs datetime+tz vs other non-sense in LB
short story: disallowed concerned user-agent, cpu load divided by 2, for only few requests dropped
CatQuest
504 is somewhat differnt
Mr_Monkey
CatQuest: I'm following the subject, but not sure what the question is

ruaok: hi, is there a public dump of messybrainz data? An ex-coworker is working on some metadata matching projects at his job and they're looking for some data to test with (and are happy to share results when they have something)
CatQuest
ah: theqiestion is: whne if at all woudl it be feasable to have this? is this osmething we want users to be able to add (ie specialusers liek relationships)
