yvanzo: can you explain the difference mmd schema and mbssss. As is which is used when and what is the purpose of each!
yokel has quit
reosarevok
alastairp, ruaok: eeeeh, I don't talk that much
yvanzo
alastairp: oh ok but we also had topical sessions
reosarevok
On my turn, that is
Now, if ruaok gave those *and* I was there to interrupt...
alastairp
iliekcomputers: hi, got some time?
yvanzo
_lucifer: yes, mmd schema applies to mb web service, mbsssss is for solr only.
alastairp
yvanzo: *shrug*, I wasn't trying to make any claims either way, it's just that I feel that some definitions of what a "workshop" is doesn't really fit into things that we normally do at a summit
yvanzo
alastairp: that's right, never seen that word at any summit iirc.
bitmap
ruaok: def. best to pick a time good for everyone else and I can wake up at 4am if needed :P
alastairp
thanks bitmap!
ruaok
ok, lets try to not make it 4am, but thanks for being flexible.
yvanzo
nelgin: ok, am currently testing contributed patches on test server that could help with.
nelgin
yvanzo, I also just found that I didn't install virtualbox guest additions on the new VM I created. I'm going to do that and reboot.
_lucifer
yvanzo: so that means documents are stored in mmd schema and solr indexes them using mbsssss and the end results are returned in mmd schema?
yvanzo
_lucifer: no, that means mb web service output should follow mmd-schema.
_lucifer
ah ok, so how does mbsssss comes into the picture ?
yvanzo
mbsssss is the schema for solr indexes
_lucifer
understood, so it should have nothing to do with output of search result?
e.g. when you release something live, do you mark it somehow in jria?
iliekcomputers
no, we don't do that.
alastairp
is this how you plan upcoming work for LB?
nelgin
If I turn off the replication cron and let the index finish. the numbers in the result of "admin/check-search-indexes all" should match, is that right?
I was trying to come up with a plan for AB too, maybe I'll do the same thing in both of them
thanks both of you
iliekcomputers
👍🏽
alastairp
yvanzo: so you name the release with the date that you hope to release it? I guess it's also possible to call it "next release" and then rename it on the day that it's released :)
yvanzo
alastairp: we have a 2 weeks schedule, so yes we try to meet our hopes, but I use “next” (as in SEARCH) otherwise.
