Usability observation in ListenBrainz: if the add-to-playlist search field loses keyboard focus it gets cleared, so searching for something I don't know how to spell and need to copy from another window is hard (have to memorize the entire thing, rather than switching back and forth copying it bit by bit). Would also make inputting characters not available on the keyboard by copy-paste hard. Would it be useful to
report this in the issue tracker?

Hi folks, not here to promote my ticket since I know that you're probably and rightfully still enjoying your holiday, but just take a look at this video because it's a fairly funny and odd behavior:
I've assigned the ticket to the right person, Mr_Monkey
that looks like a very useful bug report, thanks lorenzuru. and as you already surmise, we'll get moving on this in the new yera.
year even
lorenzuru
Oh, thank you, when I created that ticket I haven't posted here since I didn't know if it was a good practice or not
Thanks for assigning it to the right user

The new era even
lorenzuru: normally it shouldn't be needed, but sometimes it doesn't hurt, as long as it's once and not like "DUDES FIX MY BUG NOW" :)
So, the way you did is fine :)

lorenzuru: The odd listen that appears seems to be a spotify listen. Can you confirm that you had linked your spotify account?
I am asking because a single listen appearing after complete wipe *can* happen in case Spotify is linked
lorenzuru
<shivam-kapila "Lorenzo: The odd listen that app"> I'm pretty sure I haven't, everything that was in my library was sourced from my last.fm account (which was linked to my Spotify account), but since the listen unix timestamp refers to the 30th of October I can't be sure about it
But I may remember incorrectly, maybe I was playing around with LB features and connected it to Spotify to test, I'm not sure about it
But if you say maybe that's right, should I specify it in the ticket? Is there a ticket I can refer to?

shivam-kapila
Can you once confirm that your Spotify account is connected by visiting here
This can only happen in case its linked when the odd behaviour happens
(Meanwhile I will search the related ticket)
lorenzuru
Oh, it's linked, my fault
My memory failed this time, sorry
shivam-kapila
No issues. I will like to tell you why this happens
Actually our spotify_reader automatically reads the last 50 listens for your profile.
So once you wipe, this odd listen is automatically reimported and so you see the odd behaviour
However there are other issues too that seem to be present. Thanks for reporting.
lorenzuru
Thanks for the clarification, this actually make sense since that track is the last track that I listened to on Spotify (or at least that it is displayed as last played, Spotify is pretty inconsistent on a multiple device setup)
After the account unlink the spotify_reader should be disabled, right? It's not a problem to me to do a new complete wipe so I can check it, but I don't want to introduce other possible bugs by doing that
shivam-kapila
lorenzuru: Glad I could help. Once you un-link, the odd listen shouldn't come back
Moreover you can save some time and delete the individual listen
<shivam-kapila "Ah I found the ticket LB-549"> Do you think it's a better idea to leave my account as it is in order to reproduce the bug or can I act as you pointed out?
[musicbrainz-server] reosarevok opened pull request #1838 (master…MBS-11296): MBS-11296 / MBS-11297: More blocks for Wikipedia/Wikidata at release level https://github.com/metabrainz/musicbrainz-serve...
bitmap, reosarevok, zas: I will deploy these new releases ^ in production on tomorrow after next search indexes dump, to keep load low and to give more time for mirrors update.

sooo.. I wrote to QUB Musique (a Québécois spotify) and told them their metadata sucks... I pointed them to MataBrainz/MusicBrainz... Just got a response that they escalated my request to the technical dept. :)
It would be nice if they got a supporter tier or something hehe
